Secret Garden- American Cake Decorating Magazine Mayo-Junio 2018

I can already reveal one of the projects I have worked on these past months. My work for American Cake decorating Magazine Special Weddings, Number May-June 2018

I have been invited by the editorial team of this clothe magazine to be one of the participating cake designers to collaborate in this issue. I was very surprised to be chosen, as it is a very select circle of artists Sugar craft the chosen to participate. And I have accepted in good pleasure to do so. The perfect opportunity to teach how you can use the sugar flowers I make on wedding cakes.

The Theme

Each participating artist has received a central theme, around which they had to build their work. My theme has been “The Secret Garden”. A topic that gives a lot of yes, right? What would they have done in my place? How do you imagine your wedding cakes with this theme? I would love to know what they think about this topic.

My idea

Starting with the theme “Secret Garden ” I have been left to take a dream place: climbing roses embracing a wooden kiosk, scented lilacs caressed by the soft spring breeze… The perfect place for an outdoor wedding

The Flowers

To make the flowers I used flowers for the brand #SweetKolor, white floral wires of 18 and 28 thickness and food colorants in lilac, pink and green grass colors. I have needed a total of 12 completely open roses and 24 buttons and 15 sprigs of lilac. I’ve also needed 10 twigs of rose leaf and 10 twigs of lilac leaves.

I hope you like my cake and enjoy the tutorial you can find in the magazine, as well as the great works of all my talented classmates.
